Yes a whisker biscuit steals speed.Probably a whole 3/4 FPS which IMO is not enough to worry about.

I have to ask to. Did you measure your draw weight? You could be a little light and he could be a little heavy. That combined with another inch of draw would make a difference.

With extra drag on the arrow it will rob some velocity. Also consider if you have 4 inch fletch or 2 inch fletch and do you have any helical on your fletch. Both add drag though the biscuit. Just a few things to think about.

This pretty much sums it up, I couldn't agree more. For hunting, it's the best bet.

Yes but I didn't notice any long term advantage.
Just buy arrows with smooth shafts.

My practice range for getting ready for elk season is 70yds and all the game I've killed have been with a WB.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I see so many more problems with tuning and things that can go wrong to drop a way than I ever could with losing 3 fps and wear on my fletches.

I'm trying a drop away again for 3D but I'm not feeling the advantage over the for mentioned.

thanks to all. I have not tried any of the lube. I'm not saying one is better then the other I just couldn't believe there was that much difference. the fbs and the ke of the two bows is about the same with the current set up.

I have been looking at the qad hdx drop aways. I want to keep it around 150. for those of you that have a qad drop away, would you buy it again?

Thanks. I've often wondered if it does. 3fps doesn't seem like a lot if we are talking about 305 v 308 or 311 v 314.

Yes. I have had them on my bows since 2012, that's 5 bows. I am a big fan. I also like the WB, the only thing I don't like is (when healthy) I shoot a lot and almost everyday. Using a heavy helical like my AZ EZ Fletch does, my vanes got beat up.

    YES!!!
Love my QAD...I love the decock/letdown mechanism, it's very easy to set up, and it's been 100% dependable so far (going into 3rd season.) I found a good deal on Amazon so I picked up another one already for my other bow. When I go elk hunting again in 2017 I will put that on my elk rig. I like the Trophy Taker I currently have on that but it's not true 100% containment and given that it's limb driven that long cord can kind of get in the way and snag on stuff when humping through the spruce.
