Torn between bows

Have an opportunity to get a Mathews Wake in exchange for the Halon. Never been able to shoot the Wake. Anyone have experience with both bows and what are your pros and cons of each?

 

I could be wrong .... But I thought the wake supposed to be taller, bigger brace height, more of a target bow, Halon is shorter for hunting too

 

What Halon do you have? The Wake is 5" longer ATA & only a 5" brace height. Havent shot Wake & it depends on what kind of hunting you'll be doing. I like a short ata bow for tree stands.

 

Don't have one, never said I did, but anybody can find that info easily.

 

The Wake is advertised by mathews as a hunting bow with a bh of 5". My halon is a bh of 6". I plan on hunting mainly deer and feral hog. But hope to do some elk.

 

I'd go with the Halon

 

If I had my pick between the two, I'd pick the Halon hands down. More of your all around bow. It has a lot of similarities to the Wake but for hunting it's probably better and comes with a smaller price tag.

 

Never shot the Wake but I just shot a Halon and man was it nice. Not gonna lie

 

I have not shot the Halon. if I did in fact shoot the halon, I would end up owning one. I cant afford that right now
