Alright! We have half the team checked in already. How about introducing yourself and telling us a little about where you are hunting? I'm going to be hunting in north central Pennsylvania on my parent's farm. I live only about 2 miles down the road from the property so it's easy access. I have an 8.5 month old son, however, so my time this season will be limited. I will be watching for fronts to pick my sits. Have had great luck in past years, so hoping to keep the trend going with more points this year. Right now, this guy is my #1 target:
TimCon checking in ... I will be hunting Indiana & probably Kentucky a little ... Here are the sheds to my #1 as well as last year's pictures
JLS was here Really looking forward to this season as my work is winding down and I'm looking at more stand time than I've had in a couple of years (with my luck, that means I'll end up filling my first buck tag too early). Guess I should probably go find me another bow
Sorry I missed the request for intros My name is Johnny and I hunt in North Central Missouri. Not exactly sure how much property I have to hunt this year (Haven't heard about the family lease yet) but I usually have around 2000 acres split up in several parcels that range from 20 acres to 340 acres. I do not run any trail cams so I can't show you any prospects. I would normally shoot the first good buck to show up but am hoping to stretch my season out a bit this year. Knowing me, the first good one will still go down........ after 40 years, I still have no self control when it comes to deer huntin!
Hello all. My name is Shawn. I am hoping to get some chances at some public draw hunts around the state all in Texas. I have access to a 3000 acre ranch but it's looking like it will be booked up with clients. I am also trying to get permission to get on a few properties but that's like winning the lotto, getting bit by a shark and struck by lightning all in the same day in this state. Other than that I am headed to Colorado next week for archery elk.
Hello names Tom. I hunt in North Central Wisconsin as well as South Eastern Wisconsin. About half Private and half Public. My primary is 40 private that butts up to 90 public. Luckily nobody touches this public till the pumpkin patch comes out for that dreadful November weekend. Recently graduated college, don't have any money because it all goes to loans so not much in the bank for new gear. Old stuff works just fine. #1 and #2 both pictured and can't bank on any bucks from last year making it. WWIII around me for gun.
My name is Travis and I hunt in Southwest Minnesota. I do agriculture research for the University of Minnesota as well as farm and have cattle. I don't get out nearly as much as I would like for those reasons but I still find plenty of stand time if I'm not working or goose hunting. I have hunted some public ground in my area in the past but 99% of my hunting is done on our land that is all within 4 miles of my home. Not all big deer but this is the most bucks I've picked up on trail cam since 2010 so hopefully I can make it happen with one of them. In my zone in MN, we are only allowed one deer so I will be focusing on a buck only until early to mid November then it's a doe. Just a heads up that I will not be entering two deer. Here are probably my top two so far. I've got about 3 other bucks that look like the 8.
Work-to-hunt checking in alittle bit about where I'm hunting at is south Louisiana north of Clinton la interesting facts about my hunting is I'm usually good for 1 fantastic buck a year although it might now always be with my bow and I believe this is the 3rd year in a row me and fishsoft have been on a team if I'm not mistaken also I have been effected by the recent floods down here in Louisiana if anyone has kept up with it so I probably won't be a big help with the team early season but after I get my house straight I hope to handle nothing but hunting dutys after that glad to be apart of team numero uno
A little late to the party but I am checking in! My name is Josh and I am 20 years old and I will be hunting in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania, I will mostly be hunting public land up here, but I just got access to some private property and I know there are plenty of deer holed up in there, especially when the apples start to ripen, just haven't planned a entrance/exit quite yet. This is my first time signing for the contest so Here's to beginners luck!
