I live in central PA and hunt mainly state game lands and tag out nearly every year. And don't let people fool you, we have some monsters. However if you wanna hunt rifle, better prepare to see an orange army

Farm land is best. Talk to some farmers, the deer are destroying there crops.

Where at in PA are you moving?

Seems the southern part is better for bigger bucks (Philli area) - but if you're close to southern Ohio, skip PA and hunt nonresident there.

As stated by someone else, be prepared for orange army in rifle season. Archery isn't so bad as long as you actually walk in the woods away from the road on gamelands. Seems most hunt just far enough that they can't see their vehicles.

I hunt a small patch of woods 20 minutes from Pittsburgh city limits and I have a farm in East Springfield, Pa. I have several trail cam pics of 130" + deer. Pa has deer everywhere

Seen some big deer from my brother in laws camera around Allenwood. It's about 10 minutes from Williamsport.
