Excited to meet everyone and to get this season started! Go ahead and post in the thread so I can make sure everyone has checked in. PM has been sent to all members. BACKSTRAPASSASSIN Battle734 fshafly2 jflats123 Josh/OH Matt/TN Me53 MnHunterr okie_flinger Page sycamoretwitch WISCONSINBUCKHUNTER
Checking in! Thanks for cranking it up, Mn. I'll start with the obligatory mini-bio: Josh, 41, from Columbus, OH., cop, single dad of a couple gorgeous teenage girls, newly engaged, but that definitely won't interfere with my time on stand. I'm not a heavy poster and I take long hiatuses from the site, but I've been a member since before the site went public. I'll be hunting strictly in Ohio (southeast) and I believe that life revolves around God, family, bowhunting & college football!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Glad to have you on the team, Josh! My name is Jake, I'm 27 (about to be 28) years old and I'll be bow hunting from central MN on my girlfriends parents 53 acres. I am also scouting a WMA just north of our property this weekend to expand my opportunities. I rifle hunt with my older brother on 80 acres in central MN as well. I haven't got as many big deer on cam this year as I have in the past, but they are starting to show up more. I've bow hunted for 4 years now and haven't shot a buck (waiting on a decent one).
This is what I like to see! I like to remind everyone from time-to-time that this annual contest is supposed to be fun!! There should be no pressure, ever. I killed a 133" ten pointer last season, after passing on a couple younger/smaller bucks. I'd rather eat tag soup than kill a buck that doesn't get me excited. I get only one buck tag per year, and there's no way I'm killing a buck I'm not happy with, just to score points for the team... and I hope everyone on this team feels the same! WISCONISNBUCKHUNTER checking in! MnHunterr I actually live in SE MN too but hunt at a family farm in WI. Just a little bit about myself. My family actually owns an outdoor shop, in Cannon Falls and I manage it for them, so that usually keeps me pretty busy!! I usually spend quite a bit of time in the woods once the season starts up and always have some nice bucks on camera over in WI. Can't wait to get to know everyone. Should be a great season!!
Checking Okie and Me53 in. Okie created a thread last night for us and like a dummy I failed to see it on the 2nd page. We decided that we would just use this one as we have some posts here already.
Hello. My name is Matt. I'm 34 yrs old from the La Crosse, WI area. I'm married with three kids who are blossoming into hunting (and fishing) buddies. I found this site last year while spending some time in the ICU battling Lyme disease and have been both amused and educated by it since. I hunt Vernon and Monroe county public and private lands.

no problem. My name is Marty. I'm 52... been learning about deer since I was a kid & bowhunting for about the last 5 years. I'll probably never gun hunt for whitetails again. I live in central OK, but have 33 acres in the Ozarks in NE Oklahoma 3 hours away. I do hunt all over the state from the arid west to the swamps in southern OK on private and public land, but my property in NE OK is my primary haunt. I am excited about a new stand I put up a few weeks ago. I had been wanting to do it for a while, just never did because of the location - in the middle of a bedding/loafing area. Its harder to access without mucking up travel routes getting in and out, but I couldn't stand it any longer. Hopefully it will be productive. The BEST access is up a 200 foot 60 degree hillside right to the stand, but I'm unsure this fat man can do that... I need an escalator or a silent helicopter. We'll see how it plays out this year and I may not hunt it until rut. I'm good for 50 points just about any time i go out, but I'm pretty picky about bucks these days.
Welcome to the team! I'm going through my trail cam pics now to show you guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Welcome. I am glad to see I was lumped in with a bunch of forum veterans to learn the contest ropes from.
Battle734 Checking in! im 30 years old and from WNY. i hunt a few spots no bigger than 20 Acres but they have a huge deer population. Been pretty fortunate the past 2 years shooting a 126" 8 pt 2 years ago, and a 119" 8 pt last year. hope to have the hunting gods bless me with another successful season. Either way i just love my time in the stand! Glad to be a part of the team!
