Iv never seen acorns so thick here. Red/white/post/Chinkapin, they all had a bumper crop.
Well, squirrel is mighty tasty too... lol

I'm up here in northwest OK and we had a terrible acorn drop this year.

Well iv pretty much ended my season. I hunted hard in the NE and there were just way to many acorns, and with a bit of ehd, I just wasn't seeing the deer. In 2 trips to my hunting spot in the SE, with significantly fewer acorns, I was able to tag a very nice 6.5 yr old 7 point and a doe with my bow, then I went down this week and tagged a 3.5 yr old 10 point and a doe with my old trade rifle. It's been tough, but also been one of the best years of my life. Now to focus on getting the girlfriend her first deer come rifle season

Yeah I'm still working on my first bow kill ever, I'm just getting into bow hunting this year. Have a lot of promising pictures on cam. Them being nocturnal is the huge problem right now. Congrats @Oklabowyer!!! I hunt near Skiatook. I'm headed out this evening with the main goal being meat in the freezer, but we do have a handful of BIG boys on the farm we hunt. Two deer - a small buck and a BIG doe - were taken off the property yesterday, so I'm hoping today is the day I let one fly!

    GO POKES!

Put 40# of corn out Thurs. evening (after my dad's buddy got a small buck and my dad got a doe mid-afternoon that day), only to return Friday afternoon to hunt and find ALL of the corn was gone. Pics showed that NUMEROUS deer on the pile. A nice 5x5 was there and he is one of the 3 nice shooters that I am after this season. Hopefully with the rut about to start I'll have a chance to punch his ticket before rifle season opens. Frustrating to say the least!
