Way to go NY... (Rant)

The problem is that no one fills all their tags in NY. guys will shoot 1 doe and kill more bucks than they are supposed to. that is the sole reason hunting is bad. And as for orange/ulster/rockland county the hunting is pretty good for the northeast. with time and proper doe harvest I have been able to kill some great deer. two bucks over pope and young

 

Hopefully one walks by my stand this year.

Am I reading this correctly.... They took away the doe only for first two weeks! Sweet, now just make gun season 1 week long and I'll be happy....Dec 7-14 sounds good

I hate NY. such a pain. Georgia was so much simpler. So could someone clarify this monstrosity for me so I know what the heck i can do? I am in 3M. I have a bow tag, 2-3M doe tags, and 1 buck tag. So if i am understanding this right, i cannot take a buck for the first 2 weeks of bow season? Also, can i use the 3m tags during bow season as to not burn my bow multisex tag? Have to be a freaking lawyer to shoot a dern deer up here.


Also just realized that most of this post is a year old. so i guess I'm a moron too.

 

NY repealed their previous law that would not allow bucks for first two and last two weeks of season, A law that i hated at first but after some thought I liked..... But either way it's gone. You can shoot whatever you have tags for

I'm 5R, 5J and 5S. I'm right where they all meet and I have places to hunt in each.

 

Just bought my tags.... It's great in 8a and 8g there is never a question when it comes to doe tags
