I can relate! I still have my original Switchback that I bought new in 2005, and still love it! I shot the XT as well, but was just a bit more comfortable with the original SB, so I stuck with it. I've told myself the last few years that I'm going to pull the trigger on buying a new bow, but I still haven't found one that out-performs my SB well enough (in my own hands, anyway) to justify the cost.

I would have to agree. This is the best bow I've ever shot or owned!

I got rid of my XT when the z7 came out which, to me, was still the best bow I ever owned... I had the stupid need for crazy speed and sold my z7 for a faster bow and regretted it... very close to deer season that season. I wound up dumping the "speed" bow on ebay and picked up the Creed that was new that year.. another very nice bow, but I did prefer the z7. I now have a Halon 7 and am very happy with that as of now... I haven't killed anything w/ it yet, but I love everything about it... even the weight.

I was thinking about a new one, but got a new set of threads on the way now from 60x. It has always been very reliable. Also killed lots of game, deer & hogs

I still shoot my Switchback. I got it as a hand me down when m y father in law passed away. I have thought about upgrading, but I just can't do it. This thread only solidifies my idea of keeping it forever!

Keep it for sure. Even if you tried to sell it I font think you could get enough for it to justify selling it. I'm gonna have mine restrung & it's gonna be my back up!!
