Nice to hear a bit of good news Joe...and good luck with the AFib test. Listen to the doctor(s), progress slowly but positively...there's nothing wrong with baby steps...as long as they head in the desired direction.

The house and property are officially sold as of last Wednesday. Very bittersweet moment. Glad to save face and be able to sell the home rather than foreclose, but very sad at the same time, I loved that house and I loved that property.

I'm meeting with a new specialty neurologist on Wednesday. This guy specializes in strokes with unknown causes, so hopefully he'll be able to help me.
I got the implant heart monitor put in on Monday. Kinda weird knowing I have an electronic device in my body.

funny when things are meant to be they are meant to be. As soon as we moved into our new apartment, things started changing for the better for us. I got a favorable ruling with my disability rating with the VA, I also have an appointment with the VA tomorrow to discuss vocational rehabilitation training for a new career seeing as I can no longer drive trucks commercially. So that is huge to say the least, can you imagine me being 40 years old in college??!!!!!!

I will definitely be hitting the woods this fall...

I'm looking for a bow. A left-handed bow. My bear Black bear is making a weird cracking sound when I draw back so I do not trust it anymore.

I'm looking for a 2012–2013 left-handed bow. Something entry level is fine, like an entry-level bear, or preferably an entry level PSE.
The only thing I have to trade is a summit Viper climber. I know a lot of you guys have offered to help, and I am so thankful for that, it's hard to ask, because I'm not looking for a handout, just for someone to keep their eyes open for me maybe on other forums for a good deal.

Glad things are looking up for you again. I have some extra arrows laying around that would probably work for what ever bow you get since we have similar setups. Let me know and I can send them off to you.

Got some amazing news yesterday at my VA appointment. I qualify and I am approved for job retraining!!!
    I'm going to college!!!!!! LOL!!!
I'm going for my bachelors degree in civil engineering.
I'm starting at two year community college, (ccri) then I will be transferring to the University of Rhode Island!!!

100% paid for through the VA, all tuition, books!!!!
I've had a few jobs work companies/land surveying companies over the years. Always enjoy those jobs tremendously, but my only formal training was in high school vocational drafting/auto cad class. I could not support a family on the entry-level pay of those positions, and was never in the right situation to further my education until now. That is why I drove a truck the past 10 years.

You know Joe, some 30yrs ago I was in a similar situation as you, although not as precarious as yours. I had an injury that prevented me from doing my regular work. I was a young man with three daughters at home. The fact that my injury was job related qualified me for voc. rehab. The state payed for my schooling and I ended up making alot more money and had a much easier life than I would have otherwise. At the time it seemed pretty daunting but you know, I got to the other side of the situation and it really has worked out far better than I ever thought when I started. I predict the same will happen for you. Kepp your head up brother!

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

Great choice on a major. You will always have a job and be paid well. Best thing I ever did other than marry my wife.
