Im in the market for a new trail cam, what does everyone suggest? My last batch of cams were all Coverts. Like the battery life, and the quality of pics, but they could be finicky once in a while. My first Red 40 just gave up the gohs on me. Somehow it got wet inside, and fried all the batteries. Dont want to spend over $200.
Lots of good cameras in the $100 range. Coverts have worked really well for me for the last 3-4 years. Im using alot of USA cameras as well now, very good picture quality. Your gonna get what you pay for though.
I've tried a lot of cameras.... and right now for the money you can't go wrong with the Browning Stirke Force HD (2015) and the Strike Force Elite (2016) models.... ALso right up there with it, would be the new 2016 Spypoint Force 11D.....Stealth Cam G42 (2015)..NOT G45 (2016) and last but for sure not least.....is a company called USA Trail Cams...I have the Recruit (2016) and it's a fantastic camera.....it's the most expensive of all of these I've mentioned....@ $199.00 Good Luck Creeks
I have really liked the browning line of trail cameras. I have 4 of them 2 are no glow an the other 2 aren't. I think they take great pics and i have had no issues with them and i have been using them for 2 or 3 yrs now. also a great price point. Good battery life
I have to agree with this. I've been running trailcams for over 20yrs and I must say that the Brownings are some of the best commercial cams I've ever owned. Plus, if you can find a 2015 Browning Strike Force HD, it will probably only run you about $100. Blessings.........Pastorjim
Dollar for dollar you won't find a better camera than the Browning Strike Force...and like previously mentioned, the 2015 can be found for 100 bucks from time to time.

Thanks guys!! I contacted Covert to see if they would cover my Red40 since it was out of warranty. They said the best they could do was to upgrade me to a new Red40, for $150. I have been looking at the Browning Strikeforce. I see Cabelas has one for $140. Would I be better off going with the Browning? Or spending the 150 and upgrading the Red 40..
Since you're already used to the Covert, I'd upgrade to the new red40. The Brownings are a good new alternative for sure though.

I bought my first Stealth cam 2 weeks ago. G30 and I love it and I will be buying more. They are $87.99 on Amazon. I still run Coverts and USA Trail cams as well.
Ive been curious about the new Steath cams that have been coming out. I might try one here soon. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Many good cams under $100 on the market, you should try one cheap camera first, Moultrie, Stealth Cam and Primos are my recommendations.
