Looking for some insight on picking a new small diameter hunting arrow. The reason for wanting them is basically less wind resistance and better penetration. Is there anything wrong with the gold tips I'm currently shooting? Nope, but I'm just looking for change and to try something new. I've looked at basically all types of small diameter arrows but most have pros and cons and it's hard to get advice when people are so biased to a company. The Easton axis seem to be a good choice but I've heard mixed reviews about the inserts. I've recently been looking into the carbon express pile driver extremes. I've had good luck with the normal pile drivers in the past also. Anyone have good results with the Beman small diameters. Thanks for the help all!

I have no new advise. You already said what I would have said, GT kinetics. Really hard hit for the money and durable !

I shot 4 animals and 5 turkeys with the Easton Axis last year. Work just fine for me.

I have the Easton FMJ's and I like them. I was up in the air about them last year. I was having a lot of issues with what appeared to be corkscrewing in flight but that turned out to be just an optical illusion from different colored vanes. However, last year they just didn't seem to groups as well as I had hoped for spending $130/dozen. The inserts were also out of whack for some reason. I couldn't get my broad heads in more than half of them.

This year I decided to give the FMJ's another shot, except I purchased the stuff to build the arrows instead of having the shop build them. I'm glad I did because they turned out to be great arrows. My groups are very tight and they fly great. I can fit my broad heads into all of them perfectly. I would recommend the FMJ's. They're a good, heavy hunting arrow. Just make sure they're properly built and if you have any issues make the shop correct them.

Just started shooting the Black Eagle Arrows Rampages and these are hitting harder than my FMJ's. Now mind you, no scientific data to back it up other than they are going deeper into my target, nothing more so take that for what it's worth.

Another vote FMJs. I shoot the regular 340 FMJs on my Z7 Magnum and the Injexion Deep Six FMJs on my Halon 6 and I love them both. They fly really well, Hit Hard and Penetrate better than any arrow I have ever shot.

Same here on the Easton Axis. Been shooting them as hunting arrows for several years with Beman MFX prior to that. They are straight, consistent in spine/weight, and tough. They use the Easton HIT system of internal point inserts which are pretty simple if you read and FOLLOW the directions. Most of those who gripe about having issues with HIT's are too smart to read the directions or think they are smarted than the folks who designed them. Lots of dead critters came home with me due to an Axis shaft and good sharp BH.

Looks like a lot of good reviews on the axis like I've seen in the past. Going to take a look into the bloodsport since it was brought up a few times. I have consider the FMJ, might buy a couple of each and try them out. Thank you all!

I've shot them all but just switched to the Black Eagle Rampage in the 300 for a lighter arrow with a stiffer spine and a high FOC. Their great.
Half outs are nice as well to protect the end of the arrows.
