I found a recipe awhile back for homemade scent killer spray. It seemed to work well for me, just as good as the commercial overpriced stuff. I found this from qdma. 16oz hydrogen peroxide 16oz distilled water 1/4 cup baking soda 1oz non scented shampoo(like the green scent a way soap) Mix all ingredients and pour into a plastic milk jug. Only stir the mix and try to avoid shaking it. Let the cap sit loose for 2 days so the chemical reactions have time to release gases and your good to go! Worked for me.
The white residue is the only drawback but it works just as good best I can tell. Maybe I use too much but it runs into a lotta money for me. I make a gallon or 2 at a time. I use more at work than I do in the woods. I'm an underground coal miner and high rubber boots are needed, and 10 hours in them equal wet sweaty stinking feet, but rub em inside with a wet rag of this stuff, and blow dry, and they're scent free, at least for a while.
I use a scent spray on my clothing when I go out in the morning. One bottle usually lasts the season for me. Otherwise, I just use regular old detergent without any perfumes. Put em in a plastic bag and I'm done. This can be one of the most expensive hobbies or sports you could ever get into if you let it. I spend minimally on this stuff and play the wind.
Heres another good recipe. 3/4 gallon of water 3 garlic clovers chopped up real fine and mixed in the water half cup of 87 octane gasoline ( make sure to get only 87 as 89 wont work) Then top off the gallon jug with a little Dawn dish soap. (preferably the apple kind) Shake it up and its ready to go right away!
I don't know about this as a scent spray,but the same recipe works very well on dogs which have been sprayed by skunks.
