Three pins set at 25/35/45...though where I hunt it would be highly unlikely to get a shot past 35.

CBE TEK hybrid, coming off a fixed 5 pin. I wanted the single pin for long distance summer practice and assumed I would like it enough to stick with it. I have shot out to 87 yards (maxed out), I like it but I'm not convinced that I shoot it any better than I did my TR cypher 5. I don't see the pin as well as I would like either.

my guess is it is slightly off and it is harder to notice at shorter yardage but the farther out you get the prominent it gets

Single pin HHA OL 5000. Zeroed in at 20yrds, and that takes care of my whitetail needs, because I don't shoot past 30yrds. It doesn't get more simple.

Finally got to work with the bow over the last few days. So far I got it up to 50 yards with about a 5" group and 1 stray with 5 arrows. Ill be backing up on the yardage later this week. Thanks for the tip, sometimes the little common sense things slip your mind.

    4 pins set up quite differently than most. 15, 25, 30, 40.

With my short DL and lower DW, my pin gaps were so large between 20 and 30 that it was quite hard for me to gap shoot. For hunting, with my set up, I won't take anything farther than a 30 yard.

First 2 pins are hunting pins and the last 2 are pretty much strictly target pins.

3 green pins for me at 22, 35 & 45 yards. I can shoot anything out to 50 without all the clutter.

I shoot an HHA single pin. I've had great luck with it.

I have a 5-pin sight. My yardages are 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60. I haven't personally shot at a deer more than 36 yards, but I have had monsters no closer than 80 yards, so I try to make sure I'm ready for those distance shots.

Right now I am using an HHA single pin set at 25yards. I do setup the tape though because I enjoy practicing at longer ranges. Also if I ever made a bad shot and got to make a longer follow up shot I would want it to be exact.

I have MBG three pin sliders on my two hunting bows. I like having the fixed pins for hunting and the ability to dial them out for distance shooting.

Multi pin slider. One bow has an Apex Covert and the other has an MBG Ascent. Pins are normally gapped at 30, 40, 50.

CBE Tek Hunter Pro, 3 pin slider. Pins set at 20, 30, and 40 for hunting. Bottom one with slider can get out to 100 yards for practicing.

I just changed my pins to 25, 35, and 45.

I also just came across an article that tells how to set up a "trick pin". Short version is that if you set up a 50 yard pin and always aim 12" below the vitals (approximately the belly line on an elk or knee high on a deer) the arrow will land within the 6"kill zone from 10 yard out to 45 without having to guess range. Of course results will vary based on actual arrow speeds.
