Put my jaw bone between my first two finger knuckles and the bow string on the tip of my nose. My bow has limb stops as well, nice solid back stop and solid anchor point every time.
This is very common.....^^^ Probably best to do a Google search of thumb release anchor and look at the photos. I started with a Hot Shot Eclipse....quickly moved on to a Scott Exxus for nearly a year......and then tried a Stan SX3. Most who shoot a Stan will stick with a Stan and relate that they feel the design is top shelf.
Here is me at full draw....if it helps any. I draw back and anchor my first knuckle gap against my jaw bone and when doing this my second knuckle is snugg right up to my earlobe while the rest of my knuckles run up the rest of my ear (if that makes any sense), kisser button inside of mouth where it belongs and string on tip of my nose. I then settle/close my hand around the release and thumb trigger very gently. At that point is when I float my pin and settle it on target and then began to push the bow forward and pull the release back until the release is triggered and the arrow is released.
Stan is another good one. My daughter loves hers. Guess it's a toss up between the two. I'll still say personally the carters imo are better.
That's how I anchor with wrist release. Didn't know if it would work with thumb. I may try one next year. I can't even shoot right now.
