Joe, with all the offers to you - I also want to add I know the Mrs. started going out last year - if she needs some clothing, let me know. I'm sure I can get her started. Don't have an extra bow or anything - but hopefully you can share that time together in the woods, again.
I feel for you brother. I can't say that I've been in your shoes but I have been close. My prayers go out to you and your family. stay strong.
Sorry to hear of your hardship. I have some gear i`ll contribute, like others said, make a list. I have broadheads, releases and sights.
With all that going on and the stress from it all it's no wonder that you had issues. Praying for you and your family. My sincere hope is that everything works out for you.
Sorry to hear of the situation, praying for the rebuilding of a strong foundation on multiple counts. Good luck!
Hanks again for all the support and well wishes!! For the next two years we will be in RI till my son graduates high school, then the wife and I are wanting to move to the Midwest, Kansas or Iowa. I had a follow up Mri this past Wednesday, and a follow up with the neurologist next Friday. Hoping all signs of the stroke are gone on the mri!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We need to do something to help our guy out, let us know what you need once you get back on your feet. I have so much hunting stuff I can spare. As far as job search goes, who lives in the area that can help out for a job search? Hell BH.COM needs a tester justin!!!!! As a community we need to help, and it's not charity, it's just being a christian.
I'll check and see what gear and clothes I have. Joe, are you restricted to ground hunting from now on?
Hey everybody! Sorry I didn't update everybody sooner! The results of my am are I still showed where the stroke was in my brain, and also where the others mini strokes were on my brain is well. The doctor believes that my stroke was related to family genetics, and more than likely afib. Here within the next week or two he wants to put an implant heart monitor in my chest right underneath the skin for the next three years to see if you can detect a fib. I'm feeling better, a lot better actually. My dizziness is all but gone, and my lightheadedness only comes back when I bend over to pick something up or break put my head down and lift it up quickly. The doctor said that that is permanent. Last week I was released from my in-home physical therapist. I've started driving a car again, just running a few small errands here and there. That took a long time to get used to. My equilibrium had to be completely re-adjusted for driving again. I would get nauseous if I drove longer than 10 minutes, but it it it has gone away and i'm able to drive like normal again. Driving a truck for a living is out of the question. So for the past few weeks I've been contemplating what to do for a job and career at 39. I have no college behind me, and not too many other skills that her current with the times. I've been applying to every job that I can, and last Friday I had a second interview with a security and fire alarm company for an apprentice installer. Long story short I got the job and I start on Monday the 20th! I wish I had time to go to school to learn some type of trade so I could start off making decent money, but given our financial situation that is not possible, and this is Best case scenario for me right now. In other news apparently the housing market has turned around and it is now a sellers market, so we were able to put our house on the market. Our goal is to break even, so we can stay in good standing with the VA for a few years down the road. After being on the market for 13 days and numerous showings, last Thursday we signed a purchase and sales agreement, and should be closing around the end of July. Huge sigh of relief for us. We found a small apartment in the same town and same school district. Very humbling to say the least. Thank you all so much for all your support and well wishes and beyond generous offers......
