Any camo will work. I only bought my Kuiu gear because I felt like spoiling myself and I wanted quality gear that will last me for years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bought KUIU gear as well. One to spoil myself as well, and second my take on it was this. The camo gear (lost Camo) I have for deer hunting isn't really designed for walking in the mountains in September. Yes the pattern will work, but I thought I would be sweating bullets. My third reasoning was because I wanted to be as sent free as possible I wanted to go with a Marino Wool fabric that has natural unit-microbial and scent free properties in it. I hope this helps and Good Luck!!
Yeah I don't care about the pattern itself I just like the lost Camo but I didn't see any meant for mountain hunts... I think my next option will be Sitka Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sitka would be a good choice also. Interesting thing about Sitka is that it was started and owned by Jason who sold it and started and owns KUIU now
Well for pants I'm looking at the mountain pant vs the timberline pant trying to decide what the difference is. Top half i don't know yet most likely a few layers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mountain pants are a tad bit lighter weight, with no insulation. Timberline pants are lightly insulated and utilize the Gore Windstopper technology.
I went with Sitka gear and I really like it. The other clothes that I'm looking at is First Lite. I bought some Firstlite base layers and I really like the Merino wool. I am replacing my Sitka pants because I need a smaller pair, so I'm looking at another pair of the mountain pants. The Sitka optifade camo pattern actually works great in the mountains. For deer and turkey i'm going with the Gamehide clothing in Lost Camo XD. The pattern would work everywhere.
