Looking at getting the scott little bitty goose, I think that's the name. So my question is to others who own a scott release how do you like them and what are some of the models that you are all using? Thanks in advance.

I changed releases about two weeks ago. Was using a TruFire Patriot since about 2004 and was getting bow punch regularly. The post on that thing was 4" long and I was used to it and you can't find them like that anymore so I wanted the nylon strap so I could make it long as I wanted.

Bought three releases knowing two would go back:
Spott Hog Wiseguy - loved the release and trigger hated the wrist strap.
TruFire Hardcore - post wasn't long enough and didn't care for the trigger, liked the wrist strap.
Scott Little Bitty Goose - loved the release, trigger and wrist strap. IMHO, best of both the above.

I really like this release and I like the single caliper. I don't fear it letting go mid draw like dual calipers and don't fear it letting go on a let down like a trigger.

Both of those fears may very well be unmerited, but they're in my head and the Scott LBG solves it. LOL!

Went to a Scott Lil' Goose last year. I was shooting a Tru Fire before that since I had since I was about 16. Now that I'm 21 I think it was time for a new release. When I first got to shooting it definitely felt off. The Tru fire had a nice smooth trigger. The Scott had more of a "wall" to overcome before letting go. After shooting it for about a week I didn't even notice it any more. I like the single caliper of the Scott over the double caliper Tru Fire. The buckle wrist strap is much quieter than the old velcro wrist strap. Final feature that I love is how the shaft can move. It rotates and swivels which I believe reduced some torque on my d loop. Overall I love the Scott release for everything I've said and now my groups are a little tighter than before.

I've got a Scott Little Goose I've had FOREVER and a Wildcat that I picked up last year. My Little Goose was gonna be my backup but I'm so used to it that I can't put it down. I just looked at their new wriststrap one today that falls back like a TruBall and it looks like an ok release. My suggestions for which to buy would be a Little Goose or a Wildcat, though.

I use a Mongoose. I can't say that I have any complaints with quality or function. The one complaint I have is totally due to me and how I move my fingers around when getting ready to draw. I have long fingers so I like the long post. I like the way the head swivels 180 degrees.

My only complaint is that sometimes I bump the trigger right after loading an arrow and hooking to the d loop. There is just enough tension on the string to cause the arrow to pop off. It only happens when I'm target shooting. It's never happened in a hunting situation. It's mainly due the hair trigger setting I use. This was solved by them adding a spring loaded jaw.

I shoot a little goose, I have no complaints. Has worked every time. Only release I have ever owned, so I don't really have anything to compare it against.

I have used Scott releases for many years and have had fantastic luck with them. I would encourage you to try one.
