With a heavy heart, I share the news that Chase got his Angel wings this morning. He fought this beast for 3 years, but it just became too much. He has felt horrible the last couple of months. He actually went to New Mexico a couple of weeks ago on an elk Dream Hunt. It was not good. Only saw a handful of elk. It was a ML hunt, and he took a 300 yard shot the last afternoon, but missed. 300 yards with a ML, no surprise there. I was quite surprised, but he was very grateful for the experience. He was in so much pain the last 2 weeks. We hate losing him, but he's in a much better place, and is no longer suffering. He was a wonderful kid. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. During this battle, Chase accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior, so there is a positive. God bless you all.
Prayers sent for you guys! Awesome news about accepting the Lord, in the middle of sadness it's great to have a positive!
The hits keep coming.... My uncle, Chase's grandpa, has cancer as well. After his treatments in 2016, he never got strong enough to have the surgery he needed to have the remaining mass removed. It has spread, and his cancer is now inoperable, and terminal. He is 63. My mom is still in nursing home from her stroke last June. I have to break the news about my uncle to dad this weekend. It's going to wreck him.
