So I got permission from the Misses to get a new Bow. I've settled on the Halon 7. I would like to customize it with different string, cable, serving, & dampener colors. So my question is.
    Is this an up charge?
Do I need to do this through my dealer or can I build it online and buy it through my dealer?
I've never purchased a new bow before, and would rather look like an idiot in front of y'all than my pro shop LOL. Thanks for any advice. :bhod:

Thanks Early in. I thought it was a good question also. 60 views and no replies though. The all knowing google couldn't answer it either LOL.

Wish I could be more help. When I bought my Halon 6 I told my dealer I wanted camo and black so that was nothing extra. I did ask how much extra for different color he told me black was additional $100 I think it was. I wasn't my concern I wanted camo. Although I do like some of the custom rigs out there. Good Luck enjoy

Have you tried going to the Mathews site, build the bow and add to cart? If it lets you your good, if not that probably means you have to go thru a dealer. Why not try eBay? Reputable sellers there

I would go through a dealer to order it. I have ordered all my Mathews bows through a dealer. My archery shop built my bow online with me standing there and it came just like I ordered it.

I would go in the site, create your bow, print it off, then go in to a dealer so that they can order it for you.

I'm definitely going through my dealer/pro shop to get one. I was just wondering mostly if there was an up charge for getting it customized. String, cable, serving, dampeners. Lost camo xd limbs and riser.

You can build what you want on Mathews website, print it and bring it to the dealer. You will be charged extra for custom string and damper colors.

You should be able to call Mathews too I would think. I've thought about doing this too but Bowtech doesn't really have too much "customization" on their bows other than the riser color/pattern. Hoyt you can customize all kinds of different colors too. Like someone above said try building on-line and adding to cart or try calling.

Mathews has no cart on their site that I see. You can build it then find a dealer. I've searched and can't get a solid answer on prices. Some say it's free, some say different prices. I thought somebody on here would know for certain. I'll call my pro shop This week and find out. I'll post back. Thanks y'all.

You must go to an authorized Mathews Dealer in order to buy a new bow. All camos besides the "lost camo" are upgrades...I think 50 dollars. If you go to a good bow shop they will gladly assist you in explaining and receiving exactly what you want.

I would order the bow in what ever camo or black finish you want and then have a custom string builder set you up.
You'll be a lot happier in the long run with a set of new custom threads.

That way and can get also multiple color strings to go with your bow.

I ordered mine from the local dealer. I built it on Mathews site and printed and brought it in. Everything is an upcharge. I got mine in tactical with red sting and red cables and the bare bow was $1275. Hope this helps.

I ordered a black halon 6'with black/black n yellow strings, and yellow dampeners.
I was up charged 75$ for the black finish only.
some shops up charge for dampeners some just simply switch them out for something off the shelf when setting up your bow.
be prepared to wait! Mine will ship in three days and was ordered 9 weeks ago.

You would have to go through a dealer. I haven't done a special order on a halon yet but the htr was a couple bucks extra for the black. We do the dampeners as if you were buying them off the shelf but as stated before, some will swap them out for free.
