I use a Trophy Ridge Joker 3 pin sight. It's a nice balance between price and quality. Good value in my opinion. Three pins is more than adequate to cover any hunting shot that I will take therefore I see no need for any more pins.
HHA XL5519 for now. I really have become a fan of single pins or at most 3 pin sliders. I may change sights if I buy a new bow but I haven't even decided if I am buying a new bow right now.
I have a Trophy Ridge Hitman on two bows, an Axcel Vision on another and an AXT Titanium on my current "go to" bow. All are 5 pin, .019, fixed sights. They are all good sights. The Axcel and the AXT are a lot more expensive than the Trophy Ridge and right now, for some reason, I see the pins on the AXT better than I do on the others so it was moved to my "go to" bow.
I dont shoot at 130. but i have clearance from my arrow vane to shoot 130. I shoot 40yrds durring the week and 100 yards on the weekends. and the trick is to dip and smoke at the same time after you down a 20oz big gulp filled with luke warm coffee. the shaking turns into a high speed gyration that keeps you right on target. hahaah
I shoot the HHA 5519 and it was the best decision, for me, I made. I shoot competitive pistols and that vertical 1 pin just feels natural to me. I also have trouble with multi pins clustering on me and horizontal gives me fits. I'm extremely pig headed and stubborn and tend to go against the grain when it doesn't benefit me, but I'm sure I'm a Bowhunt or Die advertiser's dream. Since I've gotten into the show I've switched to a Matthews No Cam, HSS harness and an HHA. Just a coincidence I guess. LOL! I'm not weak minded I promise!
Cabela's Instinct Demon S1 (Apex Covert with a dovetail, without the interchangeable pin). I really like it, first single pin and my groups instantly shrunk going from a five pin to a single pin.
I've had a few sights and all were pretty good G5 Rock sight - it was nice, but I wanted more pins and a larger radius housing Trophy Ridge Cypher 7 - I wish I still had this one, the pins were super bright, it was nice, big and well built AXT driver 5 - Really nice sight too. Would definitely buy it again, just find myself not using the dial for distances beyond 60 yards since I don't really shoot every day any more.
I've been using the same sight for the last 10 years. Spot Hogg Hunter Hogg-it. I've upgraded it once with the new pins and wrap. No need to buy anything new. This sight will probably out live me.
I loved mine too, then father time caught up with me and I couldn't see the pins very well. I switched to a bullet-proof. I love it, but I'm going to add a level to it after turkey season.
I love my Retina IQ sight, I just upgraded to their three pin adjustable sight. With the needing to adjust it all the time, this is your anchor point moving around and for me this is why I bought the site as the IQ dot helps you reduce torque and anchor point changes. Prior to buying my IQ sight, I found my groups were tight but every time I shot my groups moved around the target basically ever session my anchor point was changing just a little bit which cause a change in the point of aim. That said I do understand the complaint that their is more things to look at, Level, IQ pins peep to housing alignment... oh yeah and what your aiming at. I would recommend to use the IQ enough so that your dot is not moving around (ie needing to be readjusted all the time) and this will help you lock in your anchor point. Once you have it good and stable you can blank out the dot/change sights. Clem
I have a trophy ride react pro 5 pin but I'm thinking about switching to a black gold ascent 3 pin slider
I can use the Accutouch for hunting, 3D, and many other things with just a swap of the scope setup. Plus I've got a Carbon Pro model on my Fanatic 2.0 so I can swap scopes, accessories, etc........everything is compatible between the two. So one platform fits many uses. Fit/Finish is significantly better as well. I really like the Accuclick system also, without looking you can dial to any distance you have clicks setup for. Last but not least, in the last two seasons, I've destroyed pins on the CBE walking in/out to the stand. The pin setup just isn't durable on the CBE. From what I've seen of the Axcel it seems a lot more solid built for the pin/scope assembly.
