Lucky! That was in our plans - just never had the time. Right now is perfect time for pan fish.

Glad you were able to enjoy the day!

Very nice!!! I'd love to run into a few crappies about that size myself... may I ask, did you catch them with live bait or jigs?

Combo of both. The rig I used was a ice jig/bee moth set at about 30 inches under a ice bobber with a weighted casting bobber attached another foot above the ice bobber. Allows you to make longer cast.. Sometimes the ice bobber is just barley going under when they bite...

I'd still have to turn my kayak or boat into ice breakers. Still got some time to wait before I can fish.

I just went and got a Carolina Cooker fish fryer this morning haha we have been wearing them out lately. Skip on Bass Pro, Cabelas or ****s and go to Agri Supply. Much bigger selection, better quality and price. Great catch though

I just got done grilling up some fresh grouper that I bought right off the boat, fresh fish unfrozen is simply the best, I will say it may be better than dry aged venison.

Oh man. I'm in a crappie tournament next month. Trip down to farm in southern IL. 3 days of turkey hunting straight into a two day crappie tournament. Much needed getaway!
