My neighbor finally got a Moultrie trailcam and when we tried to connect it to a computer, my USB cord didn't fit into the port on the camera, no matter how much I turned or jiggled it. Apparently the port is too small. This USB cord fits just fine in my Stealth cam and my Canon digital camera. I don't get it! A USB is a USB is a USB, right?
I'd be afraid to try it even if it did fit. All USB cables are not the same when it comes to trailcams.
A true "usb" cord has the usb connection on both sides. I'm assuming you are using a usb to micro usb or something similar. Either way just because it has a USB on one end the other doesn't have to be the same. Better question is why hook it up to the computer? I have never hooked any of my cameras up to a computer. Last time I didn't that was 8+ years ago with an old school digital camera.
By "hook up to a computer", I suppose I meant to say plug it in to upload some photos off the camera. I guess I should have worded it differently. Sorry to have caused mass confusion. I'll be more careful next time. Sorry! And no, a USB cord didn't come with it.
I have never hooked my cameras up to a computer either unless it is to run an update. I have never done it to download the pictures. You not just remove the SD card? Either way if you want to hook it up you just need to figure out which cord you need. Shouldn't be a big deal just post a pic here or take the camera with you to any Walmart or similar store and they will have it.
