Deciding between the Easton Bowfire the Easton Bloodine and the Easton Da' torch. Haven't shot any of them yet but I wanna hear some opinions on them. What do you guys shoot?
Used to shoot Gold Tips, great arrows. Currently shooting CE Maxima Reds, no complaints. Next arrow will be CE Piledrivers as I am looking to add a little weight.
I have heard nothing but good reviews about the maxima reds, I'll shoot those too before I make my decision for sure!
Of the 3 mentioned, Bloodlines are the only ones I have experience with, nice arrows. For an all around arrow, with more weight, I'd go with the Easton Axis. They've been my go to arrow for several years.
Im putting the inserts in 6 easton da'torchs as I write this. Ill use them as target/3d arrows out of my new No Cam htx. Ive been shooting beman ics patriots but wanted something a little lighter.
Look at Axis for hunting. Been shooting them maybe 12 years. Have some GT Velocity Pro and CX. Axis have been more durable for me. FWIW - CX, GT, BE, DCA all made overseas.
What about gold tip arrows? I love the zebra design on the Ted Nugent editions but how do they shoot? I've only shot cheaper Easton arrows and still new to the compound bow aspect of hunting. Any advice I can get helps
I shoot the Bowfire and love them. Very tough and hard hitting. Had great results last season with them. Sent from my SM-S820L
Easton Axis all the way. There is a reason why they are one of the most popular selling arrows. Tough, durable, small diameter for penetration, Hard hitting. They have it all
I have used the Easton Axis and liked them, but had a problem with arrows because carrying my bow in a scabbard while doing a horseback hunt (not the arrow fault) shooting 3D shoots with them you will miss some lines because they are small diameter. i've been shooting the Maxima Reds for a year and really close to buying a couple of dozen to use this year.
Not trying to be a hijacker here, but what is the difference you guys notice between these higher quality arrows and the ones like RadialX weave STL hunters?
I just bought the da' torches. Haven't shot yet. I use FMJ for hunting but wanted a speed arrow for turkey and 3D. Looking into a chrono but if my rough calculations are correct it should take my speed from ~280 fps to ~320 fps. Plan on shooting them tonight after work. I'll let you know my initial thoughts on da' torches.
