To the O.P. under armour makes the ridge reaper series of camo in a cold gear suit as well as the early season suit you mentioned. I have all under armour capture baselayers, jacket, and pants and love them. I'd consider buying another set, but I don't think I'll be wearing this suit out any time soon.
Enigma camo is great gear, itsquiet, warm and the pattern is awesome. Throw some merino base layers under and your good to go, check out the website on my Signature. Sitka gear is to pricey for 80% of hunters, but with the right layering and pattern, you can make cheaper and more affordable camo options ideal for most situations.
if budget is your concern, you could always get some scent control base layers and throw whatever camo you want on top with a good spray down...worked for me in the earlier years....as time went on, i invested in better clothing....for me, minus boots/gloves (realtree ap), i have a few sets in lost camo for early/mid/late season....
4 year old thread, lol. Sitka all the way, for me. Not even about the pattern(which has a lot of "science" behind it), but more the performance of the materials used. Never tried Kuiu, but I hear it lacks in a couple categories.
I wear Predator Camo for both turkey and deer hunting. IMO it is a great pattern!! Definitely get something that is built to last and comfortable.
First Lite in ASAT for me... It is all I have bought the last couple years. Very happy with it and don't see myself changing it up anytime soon.
Gamehide no chill fleece is a great light weight camo. I also have the Gamehide gridlock jacket and pants for my heavy weight stuff. I would recommend that combination to anyone! I used them for the first season this year, and wouldn't go back to anything else.
Totally serious here.......... I buy whatever is on sale, in my size and in the product/material/name brand that I am looking for. And no my camo clothes do not very often match. It's kind of funny but my non-hunting wife is the only one that complains.
I bought the Cabela's Super Slam Parka/Bibs 7 years ago on sale for around $325 if my memory serves. That outfit has worked great for me so far and I plan to get many more years out of it. Quality gear is a must hunting as far North as I do.
Stop bringing up old threads. It reminds of me how dumb I was just a few years ago. My advice now would be to pick the quality of the gear over the pattern. Sitka and First Lite come to mind but there's several others. Still not completely sold on Kuiu for stand hunting, but their clothing is pretty good for everything else.
