Has anyone ever seen a bigger grape vine than this? In 34 years of doing tree work, I haven't. I had to hang my cam on it. lol

That is a big one for sure , I have one I have left for 22 years and it is not that big. Hint where the vines are thick the underbrush is too good place to hunt around. Hazel nut grows thick when soil conditions favor vines like that up north here in central Minnesota.

Wow! Never seen one that big, we've got tons of old vines on our place but none like that.

Neither had I until I saw this one. Much further up it looks like a typical grape vine as it spreads through the Tulip Poplar, with loose/frayed looking bark.

we have quite a few that big. the biggest I think I have seen I my area was about 8" in diameter. I would love to cut it and make some furniture out of it. I have never seen a board milled from a grapevine yet. but I couldn't ever bring myself to cut one of those since they are really old.

That is a big grape vine, it has the more typical look to it down low. Mine didn't look like that until it got much higher. They play hell on trees in the immediate area.

If I don't find them and cut them......we do get a few that get that big around here. Man do I hate them.
That bark is really strange though.

deer and turkeys really like the grapes. plus the deer love bedding in them. I have found multiple sheds in grapevine clusters.

Nope, definately pretty old. We have quite a few where I hunt but most are maybe a quarter of the size.

I've got a few this size on my land in NC. The squirrel and deer love munching on 'em!
