I got a chance to put some boots on the ground at this new property and there is definitely hogs there but it seems there spread out pretty good I was thinking about trying to bunch em up in one spot..So does anyone recommend a specific bait or........?
I mainly just use plain deer corn. If you have problems with deer eating your corn that is meant for hogs, try mixing the corn with diesel or sour it. The diesel does NOT harm them!
I am dead serious. A game warden once told me to mix corn with diesel for trapping, the hogs will eat it and all the non-targeted animals such as deer and raccoons will not eat it!

Diesel really helps to draw hogs in from a far distance, it will also help keeping everything away, and I think as long as your are not putting to much diesel on there it should be fine. We sprinkle just a little bit into our 10 gallon buckets, hogs can smell very good and even the tiniest drop of diesel will help. Since we don't really over use diesel, because plain corn does just fine, I've never had any problems with eating them and I've never seen any hogs that are getting sick from it.
The farmer that leases my fathers properties in Texas traps them and from I could tell he uses just corn.
Souring corn is another good method too. Just put some corn in a bucket, and fill the bucket with water so the water is about 1" on top of the corn, the hotter it is the faster it sours. Just make sure to put it in an area where the bucket gets a lot of sun. Something that will definitely not harm them is to mix corn with Kool-Aid.
I trust what your saying but I'm not sure if there's some kind of law against that or what not here in Florida
