Do you wear your camo for outdoor stuff other than hunting.

What does being an adult have to do with a certain color/pattern on clothes? I'd much prefer to see someone in camo than the dudes walking around in tight pants with those canvas-like slip on slipper shoes with a "Che" Guevara shirt. Or better yet, someone who has their pants around their knees, a T-shirt that would look big on a sumo wrestler and a hat with an unbent bill and a sticker on it.

I don't really have an issue.

But why would you wear camo for anything other than hunting? I'm not wearing camo to go to dinner or out. I'm not wearing camo working in the yard. I'm obviously not wearing camo to work.

I honestly can't think of a single reason to wear camo, other than hunting.

I guess the only time I wear camo is around the house and to the local bars... And that's simply a t-shirt. I only wear my camo jacket when I go ice fishing or go to the small local bar. Technically I wear camo beyond hunting but it is not an obnoxious amount.

Maybe it's a way for them to announce that they are part of the hunting fraternity? Solidarity with others of like mind and stature.

I don't say anything good can, will or should come from it. I just said that that maybe their rationale.

Personally I don't think that's a bad thing however camo isn't the way I would go about it. For example if you wore a nice Filson hat, or maybe a solid Sitka gear puffy or a Beretta pull over, all would be subtle announcements that your into the outdoors without an in your face way of going about it.

I don't wear camo any where other than hunting. I do love my Sitka solids though.

I don't think anybody needs a "reason" to wear camo. If you like it, wear it. If not, don't. Problem solved. lol

Ok agreed with wearing camo but can we also agree that camo thongs should not be made over a certain size?

I'll wear the baselayers for a variety of outdoors activities. Other than that, I'll occasionally wear camo when shed hunting or early spring/late fall fishing, only because those garments are the best I've got to stay comfortable when it's cold/windy.

There was a episode of mythbusters where they tried to beat a blood hounds nose, including doing everything a hunter does with scent free soaps and carbons suits, none of it worked.
