    Hey Guys,

I've been looking around for a new bow lately, and I found the Anarchy for a reasonable price. Any opinions on this bow? I look forward to hearing any input.

I've been using one since 2012 and really like it.

It's a big bow, compared to some other models, with it' pros and cons. I'm 6'4'' so it's what I was looking for anyway...

The models from these years had problems with delaminating limbs though. (My bow and the one from another guy at the club both started having needle like delamination on the inside of the limbs.

I've just replaced the limbs on mine last month (replaced by Bear under warranty, no questions asked...)

Other than that it's a good bow, very fast easy to tune and accurate...

I don't have experience with the anarchy, but I did have a legion and a strike. I recently picked up a bear agenda and I love it, it's a great bow fast and smooth. It has real solid back wall as well, I'm not a fan boy for any particular brands, but bear makes a real solid bow I think you will enjoy it.

Cool, good to hear. I've heard that bear is pretty honorable about their warranties, I'm glad that was confirmed.
I'm interested in both hunting, and 3-d shooting with it. I've heard that it is good for both, what do you guys think?

Yep, I'm using mine for both, 3D and hunting (Moose and Black bears...)

Wow, moose and black bear huh? I've always wanted to go up north and hunt moose. Gotta have a tough bow to bring one of them down!

Over the past few years Bear has once again clawed its way to the top of Quality, high end bows for a real-world price... I'm in love with my 2014 Bear Effect... I would not trade if for a bow twice its price...

Thanks for the feedback guys! Any input on some good sights, quivers, releases etc. that I might use with it? I'm a teenager, and don't have huge reserves of money, so if you could tell me some under $50 I'd appreciate it

You can get a TruGlo sight from Walmart for as low as $7.00 on clearance and a whisker biscuit can still be had for under $50. I have a cheap TruGlo on my Carbon Icon and it works great, and the biscuit is a very solid rest.

Yeah, I've been seeing some affordably priced truglo sights, but when you get them for that cheap, I'm not so sure about the quality. Is yours working well? What type is it?
Yeah, my brother uses a whisker biscuit, which he also says works great. But do the whiskers wear out easily?

    Thanks for the advice

For a starter bow on a budget, I would go for a Ready to Shoot package.

Then you can adjust with your needs and $$$ later...

I was considering that, but I'm not really a starter to bowhunting. And you can also find a lot of better deals than that on a used bow, hence my question about the Bear Anarchy. I've just not really set up a bow before, and I was wanting some advice on good accessories.

Ah ok, didn't realize you were looking into used bows...

Like I said the earlier Anarchy models had limbs issues, make sure you rub a cotton ball on the Inside of the limbs to detect any delamination...

That tip goes for any used bow... not just the Anarchy... ;o)

The TruGlo on my Icon is working great. I have only had it to the range up to this point though. I have never had a biscuit wear out on me, but I have worn out the brushes on a Hostage Octane though.

Trophy Ridge also makes some good low price/good quality sights.

I really like the Joker 3 pin that I have. I think it was around $20-$25. Got as as a Christmas gift.

The Tru-Fire Patriot should be a good value for a release.

I wouldn't worry much about a stabilizer unless you are shooting at 40 yards or more.

Yeah, I was looking at the Joker sight, it looks like a good buy. Thanks for the input on the release, I really am not sure about a release, just because there are so many of them!

Well, I'm thinking about going with a trophy ridge stabilizer, because as i said before, I'm going to be doing a bit of 3-d, and competitions with it, and some shots will be long range.

I really appreciate the advice guys, keep it coming!

I am shooting a Bear Authority and love it. Bear has been in this game for a long time and have been making quality products since the beginning.
