Totally aware. I have three kids hunting as well as myself. My daughter had already put a doe down for our freezer. So I didn't mind taking a deer and using my tag to get him some meat. I am raising a few hunters. I read up and learn the laws so I can show them the right way to do things. The neighbor suggested he buy a tag just in case and I told him that was illegal... Ohio allows for plenty of tags for me to give away a doe. Now my buck tag I keep... lol
Got the rack back from my taxidermist. Put a tape to him. Just shy of 140 with his broken tines. If you take the same length as the other side broken points he'd be just shy of 150... puts him as my second biggest buck. Love his character and mass.
