I am hunting almost exclusively public land so I will not know target buck until the Fall! The private properties I hunt is in an area that has been sharpshooted in the name of CWD for the past 7 years. The age structure and quantity of deer has decreased every year. Target buck there would be a 2.5 yr old which I have not had on camera or in person in 3 years!!
Here are the biggest three that I'll be after this year... These next two are of the same deer... And then there is this guy... Don't know what he became because this is my only pic but I imagine he is a monster!
Did anyone have any luck with their target bucks?! Encounters? Oppurtunities? I posted the sheds off a nice ten that I was after but never ended up seeing him. I did take a nice 8 point in that general area however. After shooting the 8 I took down the camera that was about 40 yards from the stand I was hunting and got a photo of the big guy. The other buck I posted ended up falling to my fathers rifle on opening day around 11:20am. Very nice 4 1/2 year old 8 point.
I killed my target buck on the second day of ohios bow season.... it's been a long bow season since.... Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
What form is that? I'm trying to figure what I want from mine and I really like the look of yours. Great buck by the way. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk

Never showed himself during daylight... Checked my cameras over a month ago and he was still alive. Excited to see what he turns into this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here was my target bucks! Was, able to connect on the first one 11 pointer! Was unable to do the same with the second one! I had a shot at him on the last day but put a bad shot on him! Buck fever I guess! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
I scored on my number 1 hitlist buck. I have over 150 pictures of him over 2 years of history. Rattled him in. Here are a few other nice ones that I was after.
I call this goblin. I've seen him once a year for the last 2 years. It's always been on Halloween night!!
No pictures yet but maybe this spring. I had some great bucks and the best spot on the last property I was hunting but stuff happened and I'm basically starting over even though I've been hunting on the current property for 4 years. I never put a trail cam out often, maybe 2-3 times and only have 1 buck picture and 4 pictures of does. I'm hoping that I can find out where the bucks move through in the morning because the property is pretty small and not as thick as it used to be because of loggers so only does, fawns and 1-2 year old bucks bed down there during the day which is not what I'm going to be after this year.
