I'm currently using the Truglo Rival Hunter 5 pin sight and haven't had problems with it but I am considering moving to a single pin sight. I like the Apex Covert Pro but would like to know from someone who has used one what they are like as I am worried that the sun will reflect off the glass. Im also looking at many other brands such as HHA, trophy ridge, spot hogg etc. Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't have any experience with the apex covert, but can't go wrong with the HHA single pin there great, I know spot Hogg is also a great sight. I currently have the axt driver single pin sight and I really like it. It's well constructed and light weight.

Spot Hogg all the way! You get what you pay for.

I've had the same HHA for close to 10 years now. Very solid sight.

I've had my HHA single pin since 2007 with zero issues. I love it!

Had many many HHA single pin sights. They are rock solid. I will be putting one on my current bow after the season

I'm curious about using the single pin. I'm a whitetail hunter so as a rule my shots are close. How do you guys set your sight? Set it for 25 yards and hold high or low for other ranges?

Yes, that is how I do it.

I have a Black Gold Ambush Ascent, great sight, easy to set up and use. I found the pin to be brighter in low light than the HHA.

I usually have time to adjust a little if necessary. I start out with it set at 30 yards. I know what happens if the deer is either side of that for +/- 10 yards.

I know the trophy ridge pursuit isn't a very expensive sight but is it any good?

Its not bad. I wasn't sure if I'd like a single pin, so I didn't want to spend a lot just in case. It works well for starting out. I think I'm going to upgrade this spring tho

I've used the MBG Ascent Ambush the last two seasons and really like it. Depending on your budget, I'd also take a look at the Axcel Accutouch. They let you set certain distances that you can lock in.

Love my HHA 5510. The .010 is great at any distance. I also bought an extension off eBay and it makes the sight even better.
I also heard they are including 2 dials this year for different setups.

I agree. I have used one for going on 4 years and I like them a lot. Very bright pin and easy to setup.
