I would have never guessed that ESPN would turn into such a S**T show!!! This was one of my favorite stations to watch growing up. Now all they care about is putting s**t on there that is complete BS to draw attention. There lists of all time greats used to be pretty damn good but now you can be an all time great without proving anything...remember the GREAT Jeremy Lin on there list a few years ago? I do believe Stephen Curry is a hell of a player and has the chance to move up the all time great list but for those a holes to list him as the 4th best point guard in NBA history already just shows what kind of a trash station ESPN has turned into.
I agree. My brothers and I would watch ESPN all day in the summer when we were kids. (Early 90's)A lot of stations suck now. We used to watch ESPN, MTV (when it had music) VH1 and Comedy Central. Those were the days back in high school staying up late and watching all those stations. ESPN actually had sports people watch and SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight were actually watchable and on the station.
I agree Tom. Just trash. I hate watching ESPN. It is always a Top 10 of something that really makes no sense!
250 channels and nothing worth watching! ESPN is at the top of the list of channels to not watch for me.
I'd rather watch the food network because I think valerie bertenenelli and that giada Chick are a lot better to look at and they don't talk about these people who don't deserve recognition. Just moi.
I used to watch sports center all the time, I can't remember the last time I even turned the channel on. If I ever watch a sports network it's MLB's channel
Have you noticed that just about every show on there now has a lady co-anchor. Don't get me wrong. I am all for equal opportunity and some of them are ex jockettes and know their stuff, but most are there for their pretty face and whatnot....and to be politically correct. Again,if they have the merits and are the most qualified, more power to them. But it is obvious it is much more the political correctness factor in play more than anything else. JMO.
4th best point guard in NBA history? WTH? The dude is playing at a different level than anyone else in the league. But, get back to me in 15 -20 years when he has a history behind me. That's ridiculous and borderline disrespectful to players before him. I find myself watching too much ESPN. I'm in my office a lot in the off season and have it on in the background. It really has turned into a fiasco. After listening to Mike and Mike, First Take, and then top it off with His and Hers (the worst) I'm ready for a drink.
I honestly haven't watched any of the programming on ESPN for going on 15 years. It just doesn't hold my attention and I'm about as big of a sports junkie as there is out there. Every now and again I'll tune in and some garbage time wasting show will be on where they are just arguing back and forth about whatever the drama of the day is. No substance whatsoever. I'll watch ESPN when they have games on, but none of their programming is worth my time.
I don't watch it except for Monday night football. However, listening to Jon Gruden "love" every player at some point in the broadcast is almost unbearable. Hes as bad as it gets.
First take is terrible and his and hers is even worse. Mike and Mike are good and pti is my favorite show on espn. As far as comparing today's players to players of the past, it's always hard to compare, but I will say this. Name me 5 other point guards ever that you would take over curry right now? Magic Johnson maybe? Not many players put up 30 point with ten assists a game.
All of them in the top 10. Curry is a great player now but he wouldn't score near that in the physical era they played.
