What's a good camera to put out on public land? $80 on down. I know I'll get what I pay for in regards to performance but I understand the risk of it getting stolen as well. I was looking into the Stealth Cam P12. What's your recommendation?

I put all my cameras on public land. I use a 3000# chain, lock, and lock box on all of them. I have only had one taken and that one was locked up with a cable so I switched them all to chain.

Stealth Cam G30 on Amazon runs $86 and you wont touch another camera with even close to that quality for that price.

Hang them higher up in a tree and you should have better luck with theft.

I have a P12 and it's a good little camera, however it has a VERY sensitive trigger. Even on low quality!

I know I can pick up the dual package of P12 for around $124, $62 per camera. I want something that can give me decent inventory of what's out there. Again...public land means no guarantees that those cameras are going to be out there the next time to go out. I'll go all out to keep it safe...setting it higher, lock box, chain or cable...the whole nine yards. IF...it still gets stolen...I want something that I'll be at peace with when I return to find nothing strapped on the tree.

Wildgame cameras show you what's out there.

I was buying Moultrie Premise Trace cameras for $39.99. They been sold out for months and I haven't been able to get any more since! Grrr... I can handle the $40 loss if any get stolen. For the money they take excellent day and night pics.

Wildgame innovations makes the Axe 5 for $40. You can get it at D icks. I have 4 and love them. $40 is easy to swallow if they get stolen. They take good pics too.

upload quality to the site isn't the best. The photos look much better than what's posted here.

Moultrie Trace cam! They are awesome cams for the money. Quick trigger and great battery life. Only downside is when using video it does not have sound.

Search ebay " Stealth Cam P14". 68.99 shipped buy it now, comes with 4GB stealth cam brand card and 8 Duracell batteries. I bought one last week on there from the same seller, except when I bought mine it was $55 for the package shipped to my door.

I agree with DVO too though, the G30 is an awesome camera for the price.

I went ahead and purchase two P14, $54.99 each. Hope they will serve me well. Can't wait to get them out in the woods.
