Good luck! I decided to not go this evening. Had to work later than was planned. Doing an all day sit tomorrow to try and seal the deal.

Snuck one in right before 2016!

Shot this old buck on our place in Mississippi yesterday evening. He's no wall hanger but a good mature deer. But the best thing, and biggest surprise, his foot...

Congratulations! That tire on the foot is crazy! You'd think that would come off when he'd run. Looks like it's been on there for awhile

That should put us in a good position for points. Good to keep seeing people out. Be nice to see an update on overall standings, but I realize one guy is handling it.

Nice. I must have missed a picture of the muley. Did you add one on this thread before?

Nice looking mulie Jacob! Did you get the skull bleached at the taxidermist or did you do it yourself? I have a buck I found after firearm, 10 feet from one of my stands, that I want to boil but don't want to spend too much since I didn't harvest him. Anyone have any cheap ideas?

If you boil it you won't spend much money cleaning it. Mostly time. I've dug some holes and put heads in with antlers above ground covered up. Easy way to clean it, but it drains the skulls. I just painted them white.

Boiling is probably better long term way for color. Easy to paint though too. Tape antlers. Spray paint.

All of these skull mounts I did the way I was talking about. Don't ask about the paint color. This is the shop that I stay at while hunting on weekends. Parents built a few years back. Mother influenced paint color.

Should be adding the elk there shortly. Talked to taxidermist and it is drying. My nice deer mounts are in my office.

I did make it out tonight. Had a 6 point that wanted to get shot, but no other bucks. 8 total deer and some turkeys. Sitting on a good plot of clover and chicory we planted 5 years ago.
