fresh liver and heart with onions and a side of fried potatoes and a cold six pack to wash it down, cause it means I'm done hunting
Spaghetti - beanie - weenie. Cheapest cans you can get of spaghetti and beans along with the cheapest hotdogs sliced and cooked in a pan with catsup and mustard to taste. I like to add a little brown sugar to sweeten it up a bit too.
Same here...I make the best chili you never had. Turkey, venison, elk. Doesn't matter it's the first thing that gets ate at the community table. I also make a mean lasagna that I freeze before I head up and then by day 4-5 gets thrown in the oven.
Hunting Camp for me is usually based out of a backpack on the side of a mountain... So Mountain House is usually the go to. I almost always have instant taters to go with fresh backstrap in the case of a downed animal though!
Homemade chicken noodle soup, made in advance with nice thick homemade eggs noodles then frozen. Heat er up and pour on top of a generous portion of instant taters.... finish with a good cold beer. Elk / bear camp heaven
Flap jacks with spam! I'm from Michigan so you have to quote escanaba in da moonlight. Honestly biscuits and gravy. Breakfast lunch and dinner. Im set
Dang....and to think all those grocery store runs we had to do because someone kept getting it wrong for the lady...ingredients for them surrounded us. haha!
Deer Noodles, ground deer meat with seasoned flour to make a gravy and egg noodles stirred in. We also do Thanksgiving dinner at deer camp so its a smorgasbord of everything good haha
"Can't believe I just drank a moose testicle" haha On a side note, taco soup is also a must. Keep hot all day and eat when you can/want.
