    Hi,
I am looking to purchase my first hang on treestand. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I am looking to spend anywhere from $80 to $100 to make sure that I am getting something that is safe but not to expensive. Thanks to everyone.

The stands that I hang on public ground run me about $92 and that's with a lock.
Every year after rifle season Walmart and the likes begin to clearance their hunting gear.
I bought some of the ameristep hang ons and some big game ladder rails.
So one stand and 3 ladder sections with a soft loop step and I'm up in a tree.
Their safe, they ain't the lightest or the most comfortable, but it allows me to set multiple on the cheap and let them soak on public ground.
I still have a muddy and prefer it and use it when I can.
Now if you just need the stand, field and stream makes a comfy one in that range.

We have had good luck with the Big Dog Mastiff. Menards has some really good sale prices on these stands as the season draws to a close...but they are heavy. Not for a run and gun hunter.

Look at the Hawk stands. I think you can find a Hawk Helium for around $110.

I would spend a little bit more to feel a little bit more secure.

If your leaving the stands up for the season, or several seasons the m25 with the chain are tough to beat at that price. You will find other stands in that price range but not as nice as the m25..,

Millenium M25. Rock solid and one of the most comfortable treestands you will ever sit in.

Hawk has some great gear that may flirt with that price point. As mentioned, the Helium is a great packing stand
