Well I'm trying to find out what piston to get for my 1995 arctic cat zr580 efi. The guy at the shop said that if it was a standard size it would have std on the top but all I saw was 8G. I'm not good at searching for this kind of stuff so what size piston should I get? Any help would be appreciated.
Call Mathews direct first thing tomorrow morning. Sorry. Couldn't resist but if you can see numbers and letters on it that are not found according to the book, then perhaps it has already been rebuilt and that means it's anyone's guess till you get it out and measure it.
Yeah its been rebuild before. It was my dad's friends before we bought it a few years ago. He only said he rebuild it but never said if used standard size or oversized pistons. By the way I didn't get the joke.
I have a 96 zr 580 efi. I love the battery less system on it. Wasco sells replacement pistons for our sleds.
Shane are you planning on working on it for next season? Don't think there is 6" of snow anywhere in the state.
Use a set of T gauges and measure the cylinder bore. Then you can use a micrometer and measure the T gauge. PROMOTED!!!!!!
