It is! Im still pumped about it, and don't even care about the miss. Missing a deer like that has happen to me before and last time it happen I shot my biggest buck to date. I hope it means there is a better dear out there for me, just cant wait to get back in the stand! You still going after that big 8 soon?
Saturday morning! It's a different situation on that property than I'm used to. Can't just hunt it whenever I want, but it is probably the best piece of whitetail woods I've ever stepped foot on.

I'm finally getting out on a afternoon hunt tomorrow. Haven't been out in the afternoon in a week and a half. I check my camera this week and wouldn't you know it, had a great buck on it thanksgiving day, about 10 minutes before last light. It was a wide 8 pt with short tines and about 8" brow tines. Cool looking deer. Have any of you guys been out? Seeing anything?
Haven't been out since Saturday. Actuall I'm about done besides hunting with the kids and maybe a few late season sits with the bow behind the house. Good luck tomorrow!

I havent gone out since saturday. Most of my pictures were at night. Checked my cam today and have had more daytime pics mon and tues. Seem like a lot of movement around 3 pm. I may be going out friday eve and will definitely be out this weekend. Good luck all

Alright I hit a doe at 445. Climbed down at dark and arrow was covered bright red. Blood trail looked like a drain plug for 50 yards then dead stop. I fumbled around in the dark for 20 minutes looking for more blood but decided to back out. She ducked and turned to me slightly so I know it was high. Just a bit worried it's muscle. First light. I live an hour away and it was just myself. Plus they ran near houses. I keep replaying it in my head it's either all shoulder or single lung. I hope I can pick up the blood again in the daylight before I body search. Another thing that was odd was my arrow got flung 5 yards behind and opposite where she ran. I'm walking out of the woods now. I re tracked the blood at 645 this morning then spent half an hour doing all I could to find blood after it stopped. Then I started zig zagging for blood, a bed, or a body. Found nothing. Again the trail was heavy for 50 yards then stopped. Going to move a camera to maybe confirm she's alive and keep an eye out for birds. I'll probably also sit tomorrow morning outside that group of does bedding area. Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
