hey guys. this is my senior year of highschool and right after graduation, the senior class usually gets together and goes down to panama city every year. they get...i shouldnt have to say. well im not into that kind of thing, and i would like to spend my money more wisely. i would really like to skip out on that and go on a hunting trip. im in south louisiana, but i enjoy road trips with my dog. i was wondering if you guys would know of any places i could go on a paid hunt? im working on a summer-time grass cutting budget here. ive got some money set aside for this. i would much rather bring home a rack than be like everyone else and bring home a hangover. if you guys know of anywhere that reasonable, please let me know. thanks.

Are you looking for May-June or can you hold off until later in the year when deer hunting would be open/better?

Ya.. I'm confused. Hard to deer hunt in the spring. Maybe look into a hog or turkey hunt? Or of course as mentioned postpone till fall. Also might be difficult taking a dog along on most any big game hunt I would think....

How much are you willing to spend and what type of game? Bear, deer, hog, turkey?

You're 18... and you're choosing deer over party girls in bikinis?

You have the rest of your life to be an old man chasing deer around the woods, dude

Well, that really only narrows it down to your budget...

I'd go to Panama City and have fun, then go hunting in the fall.

I personally went to H&S Outfitters in Southern IL. Great family hunting lodge. May be going back next year. But, I doubt any would allow your dog.

As for people saying go on your high school trip - that's up to you. I never did anything with my classmates. I didn't enjoy that kind of thing. Skipped homecoming, senior trip, senior prom - all of it to show horses. It's what I enjoyed.
