My brother bought 20 acres last summer in KS about 2 miles down the dusty road from his house. He hadn't been deer hunting since I lived there with him in 2001. He's more of a waterfowl hunter, but last season I lent him a trail camera and told him where I would set up. he started collecting some cool buck pics. last season he only hunted during rifle season and shot a doe. this year he bought a crossbow and hit the woods when he had the chance. he's been seeing some larger bucks hanging out near dark on his way home from work. This Saturday he headed out in the AM and found his field was full of eyes, so he drove around the block and entered on the other side of the property. it was still dark when he started hearing grunts. so he did what any good american would do and he joined in with the grunting in the dark. well soon enough the ground started coming visible and he could make out the figure grunting at him and the does. he shot it at 20 yard in the earliest part of the morning. As you can tell he earned the Ol' Kansas boy title.
