Neighbors are out. Maybe they are heading to the house. This is the part I don't like about hunting in town.
I made it out of there. thank freakin god. I was 2.5 miles back in by a clearcut. when the trees started going down they were like 300yds away from me but I quickly got down and stood out in the clearcut away from the timber where it was safer. then once it seemed like it died down I was out of there! I couldn't leave when it was going on because the road I walk out is through the timber. I can't ever remember getting wind gusts that were 60+mph for that long of time. it went on for a good 15 minutes. maybe they call that a wind shear? the hilltop I was on is over 2000' in elevation. very stressful to say the least. not sure if i'll go tomorrow? looks like it is going to be crappier.
Going to set the alarm for the morning. See what the wind trends have been overnight. Would like to get out tomorrow if possible for stand selection. Shoulder shot warriors may be back out Saturday if I wait.
Well the only thing good about tonight was it was beautiful out!!! Good action this morning to no action at all tonight! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Clothes being washed and alarm is set. Thinking morning will be good for a hunt. If things go right and I can put one down early the temps will be good to throw it in the truck and switch stands for a midday sit. Hoping they will be on their feet tomorrow rather than tonight, winds are increasing for Saturday and Sunday.
