from about Oct 28-Nov 8th, the bucks were crazy insane in seeking/chasing.
Saturday was MN gun opener but Denise and i sat our own property with bows. all day Saturday and Sunday morning was an awesome time in the woods. bucks galore. Sunday evening, things shut down BIG TIME!! and has been extreamly slow this whole week. does are scared of coming out to eat in the food plots. even the young bucks have quit moving.
gonna be a good solid week before things start picking up again.

I watched the button bucks sparring up in the pasture and my wife saw two bucks on her way down the driveway around 6 or so. Right after it really started to rain. It sure seemed to shut down talking to hunters I work with and text with. I only saw a picture of 1 decent buck taken last weekend.

the gun season here does not even sound like its open.

I noticed that too I live by both state and US F&W land and it has been really quiet.

Hey, so it's not just where I live, I was seeing a bunch of deer, and young bucks, a couple 3 1/2 yr olds, then it's like some emptied the property of deer. Haven't seen but one deer in four sits!

Similar here. Bucks were starting to seek like crazy, but the only buck I've seen on does was a spike that followed a doe 15 min later. My brother watched a button try and top a doe though.

I'm hoping this cold front cranks 'er wide open this weekend!

Same thing in South Central Mn. Went out Saturday for the gun opener. We saw probably 25 to 30 does from Saturday morning to Monday morning, and not one buck. I don't know where all the hunters are. I drove around all afternoon yesterday, and saw 0 deer, and 2 hunters. Its a hard year to figure out if the rutt is over, or what.

I'm near Little Falls MN and the week before rifle season was something that you see on the TV shows.

Saturday and Sunday we saw around 12 does and not a single buck. Not a single buck has been seen all week. It has to turn around soon or the peak breeding has already happened.

Yeah things slowed down drastically where I am too! Friday of last week through Monday I saw 10 different bucks during daylight then it rained on Tuesday and seems like things shut off! Been a crazy year this year! Hope it picks back up again!

Not for me, my woods have been pretty slow until now. I saw my first shooter on the hoof during daylight just last night (in my neighborhood unfortunately). I'm taking tomorrow and at least Monday off from work, possibly Tuesday too.

Doesn't take much for the deer harvest to be up from last year. Harvest numbers are up from last year for gun and the camp Ripley archery hunt...easy to beat considering what last year's numbers were.

I'm betting it wasn't up in my area. Heard maybe 30% of the shots I would typically hear.

Been pretty quiet here too. I have been out every day except yesterday due to work and just seems like less shooting.
