Try public land until you can find some private. There's some great deer killed every year just north of you on public land.
finally saw some deer this past tuesday (8) looking foward to this weekend and next week on vacation. hopefully a big buck and a big black foot will fall.
It's been over 3 weeks since I've seen a deer hoping the temp drops here in eastern nc next week Sunday is looking good
I have mainly pre and post shooting light activity on my trail cameras where my hunting property is. Need the cold to come through.
Can't wait for tomorrow it's gonna be close to a 20 degree drop here in Wayne county something's gonna hit the ground!

Hunted nearly daily since the beginning of black powder season, finally got a good shot and put a doe on the ground Sunday morning. I went for three weeks and never saw a deer, so after reading your recent posts I'm glad it wasn't just me. I was getting worried.
I'm up in Morganton. I saw plenty of deer earlier in the season, but just didn't have any shots. But for the past month, I haven't seen anything. I saw one about three weeks ago right at dark as I was walking in, too dark to shoot and too far away anyway. Other than that, nada.
Idk about you guys but here in the east it is slow!!! I'm starting to think they were rutting back in October when I got my buck there was a cold week and I saw plenty of deer then. Could that be why it's so slow? I mean I'm still seeing fresh rubs in the woods
I hope the cool weather coming in gets the deer moving. I still haven't seen any buck sign. Plenty of deer sign, but no buck sign.
That's crazy great activity up here in the mtns I have seen at least one deer every time I've hunted this year, seen plenty of bucks chasing this past week just no shooters to walk out in front of me yet but I've had many different friends shoot some giants Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
I saw lots of deer til about a month ago, then it's like someone flipped a switch. Only thing I've seen is a doe I dropped Sunday morning.
