That's a mature buck you got there. Can't wait to work half day tomorrow then hunt. Racking my brain to decide where to sit. Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
Not sure what's going on with this rut. I had 4 does in sight for an hour with no bucks around them. It started raining at 4 o'clock and will run through tomorrow. Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
Hey guys, things are looking up! I tagged a good one on Saturday night. 137 3/8! Shouldn't have a problem whacking' a doe but pretty happy with this buck.
I tagged out last night. It was the last night I could hunt for the foreseeable future. Wasn't the buck(s) I was after, but I needed some meat and he presented the opportunity. I'll have to download the pics later today and get him scored. Good body. 5X6, but not real big. Thinking between 130-140. Sorry for the delay but was up til midnight skinning/caping and had to get to work by 6. Dragging today!!!
Can't wait to see the updated score card when everybody gets their deer entered. Makes me want to get out and fill my doe tag with the bow this weekend.
So awesome guys! I love reading everyone's success stories! Like Nate said, I can't wait to see the scorecard. You guys are killing it!
I just got the phone call. I will not be continuing in the application process in NM. I didn't pass the psyche interview this morning. I'll end up heading home in the morning. I'm really discouraged right now.
I shot one this morning while he was chasing a doe. Has 4 broken points so he won't score great but I'm happy with him. I'll try to get him scored tomorrow.
Tim I'm real sorry to hear that. My industry doesn't have psych interviews but I could only imagine m Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
Put my buck in the scoring thread. Ended up 129 6/8. Not what I was hoping for this year, but time wasn't on my side. If only I would have been able to hunt this weekend or, better yet, tomorrow with this cold front. But, happy to have been able to hunt when I did and thankful for this great animal. Picture of my deer and the 2 I was really after. Buddy talked me into hunting another farm on Friday when the color pic deer walked under my stand at 4:30 pm. Lol. Woulda, coulda, shoulda!
Great deer none the less. With any luck the one you're after will stick around one more year and be a real bruiser. Can't wait to see the scorecard update. We have put down some animals in the last week or so! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
