I have a canon vixia G20 video camera and I want to get an extra battery for it, I have noticed that there are replacement batteries that are cheaper than the canon brand. Can these be trusted or is it better to just go with the canon battery? Thanks for your help!

The only off brand that I would trust are the Wasabi's. You can usually get a pair with a charger for a pretty good deal on Amazon.

I don't have them in front of me...but I ordered a kit from amazon a while back. I have the VixiaG30. The kit contained various items. Tri-pod, hand held mount, polarized lenses and 2 other lenses, a lanc controller, a charger, a carry bag, a light...etc...and two extra batteries. They were some off brand battery but they were 4 hour batteries. They were slightly longer than the original battery and they do last much longer.

I've bought several off brands that have worked flawlessly thus far
