My phone went dead, but we had a pretty decent evening. Saw 6 bucks and 12 does. We had a shooter at 70 yards but he wouldn't respond to any call I threw at him. He just kept eating and wouldn't even lift his head.
finally back at it tomorrow after lovely PA makes us watch from the sidelines every sunday. Bummer I have a drs. apt in the morning at 8:00 but will be racing in as soon as that is over. I always have midday luck anyways. anytime of day is good now. I hope thew SE wind stays true. it just might put a giant right in front of me. first time this season for this wind at this stand.
Out of everyone that hunt our property, only one shooter buck has been spotted. No action yet. This makes day 7 of hard hunting, hopefully something sparks it up tomorrow.
Not gonna lie. I woke up at 3:30, got up and shut off the fan and grabbed my phone. Set an alarm for 7:15 amd laid back down. Couldn't fall asleep so got up and took a shower. Running about 30 minutes behind but should still be in a tree by legal time, which is still 10 minutes shy of shooting light. It's getting tougher and tougher to wake up. Tuesday and Wednesday will likely be the last early wake ups. Sleeping in Thursday

Ditto. Up at 0345, started work at 0430. Hopefully off by 1230. Still waiting to here from the Bossman about swapping Saturday for Tuesday. If that happened heading to some public land this after noon for a ground hunt. Gotta try something different before I go nuts sitting on my lease and not seeing anything....considering looking for a new lease next year, so any one in SE Iowa needs a lease partner, let me know.....
In the stand, but some where thru my 300 yard walk thru the thicket this morning I dropped my release. Now I got to back track after sun up to find it. I checked it when I got out of the truck, so I know I had it then. Not a good start! I better shoot a monster today

I wont get on stand til 9:30. just think back to all the shed hunting, scouting, trimming out stands, hanging stands, and monitoring cameras how excited we all were for season to start. well boys and girls the time is here. time to make the most of it because it won't be long we will all have the long agonizing wait til next year. hunt every opportunity you can. me personally only have 6 days left and our PA season is over until our 2nd season in January. hard to believe seems like it just started. good luck to all today!!!!
