I have a decoy 26 yds out in front of the corn rows, quartering to, one antler only to look like a push over, I'm down wind in a great spot, hoping a buck comes in looking to FINISH HIM !!
Gun season starts Saturday so I need to make this happen today or tomorrow, good luck to all as well

They knew I was there, were real spooky at first, then wrote me off as a non threat

The fork got down wind of the decoy and blew out of here. Could be a bad sign, I don't know if was a smell or my decoy is bigger, who knows

So as a quick review, the handful of times I've used a decoy I'd say it brought the deer out at a distance but they usually seem to spook when they get too near it.
I used a 125gr Rampage 3 blade Whitetail Freak head, at about 25yds complete pass thru double lung, no blades bent or broken, 450gr total arrow weight from the Omen Max. Good head, I'd recommend but only from a high ke (momentum) set up, I'll be using these again for sure. My deer ran away pumping blood out and dropped in 50 yds.
ASAT cammo pattern worked awesome for deer in the corn where I was sitting on my stool, I was down wind and not hidden too deep, only in the second row, a little windy today so I got away with more movement....the turkey however saw me, knew I was there but I froze and they kept feeding warily, had I tried to draw on one I believe I would've busted the whole group out, they still fed in front of me for 20 min or so. Good luck to all
