Hey fellow bow hunters. I am sure this question has been asked 100 times or more but I am going to ask again. What percentage of time in the stand do you spend standing or sitting?

I actually like shooting from the sitting position as much as from the standing position so I sit most of the time.

I stand the first and last 30 minutes of daylight, the rest of the time I'm sitting unless I have something come in I want to shoot at

75% of my time is standing. I sit for breaks although I will shoot either way.

Sit about 90% of the time. This year my stand is setup where to my 1 side I can only shoot sitting down, and to my other I will have to stand to take the shot.

Should be interesting depends on where the deer will come in. I don't mind shooting standing or sitting.

I sit until I see deer. Once I see deer I will stand until they are out of range.

I stand as much as possible, but I am not tough enough to stand for 3+ hours at a time without making too much movement, so I do take sitting breaks.

I have no problem shooting while sitting, but the mobility is too limiting for me. I am left handed so if the deer is to my right, no problem....to my left...not good while sitting.

Also, most of my stands afford me some shot opportunities behind me as well. I much prefer standing.

I usually sit most of the time while I'm on stand excluding "prime time" when I expect to see the most deer movement. I can shoot both sitting and standing, but I feel much more comfortable shooting from the standing position. Generally if I am sitting when I see a deer I will stand up if the situation allows it.

This is really based on location, visability distance, time of year, etc, etc.

    Field edge- SITTING !!

I stand in the morning, from just before shooting light until my legs get restless. I'll stand a lot in the last hour of a PM hunt, as well.

I sit as much as possible because sitting seems to limit movement..as long as you've scouted and hung your stand facing the correct direction :)

Never stand when you can sit, never sit when you can lay down- USMC :)

I stand about 90% of the time. Some stands I stand 100%. I just like the feeling of being ready no matter what. Like Jeff said, I've never been busted in either position, but there's times when I didn't want to shoot when I was caught sitting, but there was no way to stand without getting busting, so I sat and watched, lol:o

I love to sit if my stand is comfortable. If not, bad back forces me to alternate about every hour or so.

I shoot in the sitting position. I hunt from a tree stand but I do not like heights so the sitting position makes me feel a little more secure.

85 % sitting in most of my stands but I do have a hangon that the seat broke so i have to stand the entire time in it.
