A buddy of mine shot possibly the first mule deer in Wisconsin tonight. Contacted the DNR to make sure it was completely legal. So far no problems! 12189792_842480475850486_8494790388385683201_n.jpg 12189792_842480475850486_8494790388385683201_n.jpg

    Congrats to your buddy.

I would have passed, not because of the size. But because it would be cool to have a muley around lol.

Interesting... Wonder if it was a hybrid? I always thought it interesting that Missouri's deer regs specifically mentions "whitetail or mule deer" in their regulations. I always wondered when the last mule deer was seen in Missouri.

I think there's some mule deer in southern Minnesota. What part of the state did he shoot it in?

Oh so I can shoot an elk or moose if I see one? Sweet. Those are in the deer family right?

You can, you can shoot anything you wish, that's a decision you have to make. Report your killing to the DNR like this gentleman and they'll sort it out for you.

What I don't get is why would he shoot it if he knew it was a Muley? Cut the cool story BS you shoot the only known muley in Wisconsin and that's cool, in my book that is stupid let them live and prosper.
