    My wife rifled a small 9 point on Tuesday so that's a relief, she didn't shoot my big ones. Lol. Going to sit tomorrow morning and it may turn into an all day sit. If not I'll sit the morning and then the evening again. It's soooo nice to hunt your back yard.

    Well guys I'm kicking myself hard right now. Shot a big 8 point tonight. He turned at the shot and I believe I hit him in the shoulder. Found a tiny bit of blood and may have bumped him. I waited 2 hours to go look. Didn't sound like he went far so I backed out and will go look at 7 am. Not going to get much sleep.

    That sucks. Do you think he might survive? At least long enough to get another chance at him?

    [​IMG] Had this nice buck show up last week, but only got the one pic of him and I believe he is coming from across the road, so I'm not so certain that I'll have much chance at him

    It's been slow for me in the woods for a while. Got skunked a bunch of times, so I tried a new public spot this evening. Had 2 doe 50 yds behind me for a while, but they eventually started working downwind, and ended up taking off. No bucks chasing them, but saw a ton of small scrapes. Good to be back in the action again!

    Not much here. Plan on going out tonight and some this weekend. I'll be taking 9th through the 15th off work and plan on hitting it pretty hard. I just haven't had any bucks to hunt to this point on my property and haven't had much success on my public land hunts so far. I've yet to see a buck all season. Hopefully that will change at some point this weekend.......
